A civilization with 1950s level technology you mean? Almost certainly not.
Imagine our civilization got wiped out, and thousands of years from now the survivors built another advanced technological civilization. Would they know about us?
Heck yes, the evidence would be everywhere. Every big city on this planet has structures no primitive civilization could ever construct. The Great Pyramid of Giza was the tallest building in the world until the Eiffel Tower was built, but it’s puny compared to modern skyscrapers. There’d be plastic remains everywhere (the stuff is indestructable rubbish, it takes forever to break down), and artifacts made of metal alloys of a quality that no primitive smith could ever have produced. Just the way manufactured goods look give them away as the product of a technological culture. Look at old Roman coins, and then at the coins in your pocket. The borders of the Roman coins are a mess, nothing at all like the fine precise borders of modern coins. So it goes with all manufactured goods. The craftsmanship of the things in modern hardware stores would blow away ancient peoples. If there was an advanced technological culture in Earth’s past we’d know about it.

not instant, the chinese emperors had their palaces cooled by ice carted from mountains miles away. that was back in 8th century.

Indeed, the Egyptians has a form of air conditioning, buy using sheet of wet cloth over their windows, acting as a swamp cooler does. By the way, people have always been pretty ingenious- such as the Minoan Civilization having indoor plumbing, the Inuit maintaining survivable heat in ice houses, and the Mayans being able to calculate the movement of the stars, only off my minutes today. Also by the way, this is actual anthropological evidence- minus Atlantis and Cayce. Our air conditioning isn’t so instant, anyway.

of course, well sort of. edgar cayce says in one of his books of atlantis, they were so far advanced they could regulate the weather to just the right temperature. i believe atlantis was far more advanced than us.
