There’s something very appealing about having heated floors. There’s definitely an air of luxury about it that even the Roman’s appreciated. But many people are put off by the supposed cost and disruption of installing underfloor heating.

In the past couple of decades this has all changed with the arrival of electric underfloor heating. Costs have dropped dramatically over the years to make it an affordable choice. And along with affordability, modern underfloor heating is simple to install, well within the capabilities of most people. It’s only the connecting to the mains that needs a qualified electrician.

Many people first install underfloor heating when they are refurbishing a kitchen or a bathroom. People love to use tiled floors in these areas but as practical as they are they are also very cold. These days you can buy kits off the shelf for electric underfloor heating for tiles that come either as mats or as lengths of cable. You simply lay them on top of your sub floor before applying the tiles.

For underfloor heating elsewhere in the house, carbon film mats are designed to go under surfaces like laminates and engineered wood floors. Like mats for tiled floors the carbon film is easy to install and being so thin they barely raise the level of the floor. This means you don’t have to dig down into you sub flooring to warm up your laminate floor.

Even carpets can be heated from underneath, as long as the carpet itself isn’t too thick. Having a rug on a heated laminate floor will also work as the heat will build up underneath to make it a warm spot.

So if you’re considering installing conservatory underfloor heating by using underfloor heating kits you can dismiss all the rumours. Using underfloor heating as a viable way to heat some or all of your home. You’ll find that many people who install it in one room go on to install it in other rooms too.

i received and am still receiving horrible service from this company and cant seem to get any results. they sent a technician who cut thru the wall of my shower, (and tried to hide it) left a leaky faucet, got solder all over my carpet, and left a huge mess. i called the company and expressed my concern, they assured me it would be rendered. i have since called again and cannot seem to get anywhere. there customer service is the absoulute worst i have ever dealt with. this has been going on since march 30 and they’ve yet to contact me as to when they plan on fixing it…..not that i would be that stupid to let them back in my house!! i want to contact Mr. Litten and see if he has any suggestions as to my situation.
