My Central A/c And Furnace Are Too Small To Properly Heat And Cool My Apt. Can I Break Hud Section 8 Lease?

because of this? without losing my assistance? A repairman told my landlord is was inadequate for this size of apartment, I don’t believe he is going to replace the unit. I moved in in Feb and it was freezing with the furnace on (it pretty much ran non-stop, and I only like the heat at about 65 in the winter) and now when it’s 85 out and I run the a/c it’s usually like 90 in here. I just don’t know what to do. I start school in the fall and really need the assistance. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks!

Why Does Furnace Blow Cool Air?

I am 13, (helping parents) I have had a furnace in my attic for 4 years. This winter it started blowing cool air, this is because burners will not ignite becasue the gas is not getting through the gas valve (we think). of course when the Repairman came, it decided to work. I don’t think it is the valve. And the igniter works (glows). We cleaned filters and sensor. Everything is working normaly, nobody can figure out the problem! It works when the temperature is above 30•
Light signals: when we turn it on, the light blinks fast continuosly, that means normal call for heat. There are no signs of any problem. Can somebody help, it is 55 degrees

What Do You Think About Heat Pumps? Do They Cool As Good As Other Central Air Conditioning?

I am looking to buy a house and I have noticed that some are listed as having a heat pump for air and heat. I had never heard of a heat pump before but I have done some research on them now. I am wondering if anyone that has a heat pump would tell me some pros and cons about using them for cooling and heating.
Thanks!

Our Gas Furnace Stopped Putting Out Heat, Though It Is Blowing Cool Air. Can Anyone Troubleshoot?

It is an Amana Air Command 80. I don’t know it’s age, but probably was put in when our home was built in the mid 90’s so it is probably more than 10 but less than 15 years old. We have lived in this house for about 7 years.and this is the first problem we have had with it. I will schedule a repairman but perhaps someone can give us a hint for working on it ourselves as our income is currently reduced.

My 12 month old’s bedroom is on the second floor of our house and there is a separate unit on that floor. I want the unit to switch from cool to heat when the temperature reaches a certain degree and vice versa. Is this possible?
