My local parts store(Car Quest)Had the heating and air ASE test.I just filled it out and sent it in and in about 3 weeks received a ASE certification.So call your local auto parts store and ask them about it.Most national parts stores Will give you information about it.Good Luck,God Bless.

Yes, people are always gonna want to be cool or warm and things always break. Just keep in mind this… there are bad points to this kinda job. My friend does this work and has to crawl around in attics (without ac in this heat!), under houses and deal with people whom he is doing repair work for, so I would talk to someone in the field before you make any definate plans. go on line and google alco supplies, I had a fedders 3 ton 10 seer delivered from Florida within 7 days. The unit cost $472 with a $150 delivery my hvac contractor said it would take 4-6 weeks I got the job done in less than a week and I saved $2000

Are you licenced or just went to school and got a certification? Most states will require you to be licenced and bonded. I am a licenced A/C contractor in the state of Arizona.
And here they will let you service units under something called the handyman clause. Which allows you to do repairs up to $1000. But it is best to be licenced. It will open up so many more doors for you. I do alot of extended home warrantee work. Have been self employed since 1981.
