If We Don’t Have Air Conditioning, Should We Leave Our Windows Open Or Closed With The Fans Running?

We’ve got an old house with no air conditioning. It’s about 98 degrees outside and the house is getting HOT. We’ve got fans running in the rooms we are in and turn them off when we leave the room. Should we leave the windows open to help get air circulating (but let in the outside heat), or close them (keeping the already hot air in, but the super hot oustide air out)?
Best answer could help lots of people during all these heat waves.

I Have A 94 Chevy Corsica And My Fan System Doesnt Seem To Be Working?

Recently my fan system (heating/air conditioning) Seems to be on the fritz. In the past weeks it seemed to work when it had not rained or wasnt very cold but in the past few days the system has not been working at all. I checked my fuzes and they all seem to be in order. I know that when I turn on the heat or vent that when the car is moving that the air moving thru is heated depending upon the temperature I set but the fan itself just doesnt seem to be blowing. Anyone have any ideas?

Do Air Conditioners Have Limited Heating Capabilities?

At first glance the question might come off as stupid, but I’ve always wondered this.. and didn’t find any questions like it online.
Most people with air conditioning units (not central air) know that the range generally 60-75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Usually when the temperature outside cools down enough and your room is cool, the air conditioning shuts off and it just blows air (fan mode) until the room warms up higher than your degree setting.
So let’s say my degree setting was the max, 75 degrees, and it’s 55 degrees outside, and I put it on cool – not fan because there’s no degree preference on fan mode – would it automatically go back to fan or would it actually try to heat the air up?
Obviously this is all hypothethical, everyone has heating units, and no one in their right mind turns on the air conditioning in the winter, we don’t even leave the air conditioning in, and I find it surprising that some people do..

wash your outside unit (condenser) from the inside out with garden hose, if you just spray the outside coils it just drives the dirt and debris in, clean the inside A coil with a spray that is available at most home centers, keep the condensate line clean by adding a ounce or 2 of bleach and change you filters often, actually a electro static filter is the way to go
