I have a Daikin Heating/Cooling System in my flat. I haven’t got the foggiest on how to turn the heating system on and with it getting colder its going to be a problem. Is is a panel with pictures and the manual doesn’t say in plain English how to change the damn thing! Is there anyone in Southfields in South West London on here that can show me how to work it?

What Is A Geothermal Heating System?

When it comes to heating and cooling your home the air conditioner is the most popular choice, but there is another option available known as a geothermal heating system
Geothermal heating is a green source of power that uses the heat contained within the earth to provide a source of power with vast potentialThe heat provided by a geothermal heating system comes as a result of the fact that the temperature of the earth beneath our feet remains constant over time
This stability creates the ideal environment for efficient heat exchange. If it is hot above ground, the cooler earth can be used to cool the structure by circulating the hot air down and back up.When the mercury drops close to freezing, the earth is then used as a heating mechanism providing the warmth throughout the house that would normally come from some other heating system.
If you’re looking for more information about geothermal energy visit: Atlanta Geothermal.
A geothermal heating system has a number of strengths which compensate for the high initial costs.
This type of system will immediately allow you to dramatically lower your energy bill by reducing your reliance on electricity for heating, cooling and hot waterThe energy provided by this system has no associated pollution making it one of the greenest sources of energy available.
The energy provided by geothermal sources is also extremely reliable – no more worrying about power outages in the middle of winterThis constant temperature also makes geothermal heating far more efficient than traditional air conditioners.
Want to know more about geothermal heat pumps? If so visit: Ground Source Heat Pump.
A geothermal heating system has two main components – a ground source heat pump, and the pipes that run between the pump, the building and the earth.
The depth and length of the pipes will vary depending on the soil, the land area available, your climate as well as your budget.
This can range from depths of just five feet, all the way down to 400 ft pipes stretching directly into the earth. The heat exchange occurs due to the work done by the ground source heat pump which pushes the air through the pipes and extracts or disperses heat as required. If you are going to have a geothermal heating system installed it will need to be done by a pro

While the costs of installing this system will take a bit of a chunk out of your bank balance, it will start paying for itself immediately as your power bill comes down and you enjoy clean, cheap heating and cooling

Heating And Cooling System Not Working?

Okay our heating and air conditioning is not working. It worked perfectly fine two weeks ago [the heat] and then we turned it on today [this morning about 12 hours ago] and it has not kicked on at all. Its freezing in my house, and I have no clue why it won’t work when it did just two weeks ago. I can’t feel anything in our vents or hear anything. What could this be. We tried resetting everything down stairs but it hasn’t done anything and that was a few hours ago.
I Replaced My Home Heating Cooling Thermostat And Can’t Get It To Work.?

I replaced my old thermostat with a new digital one. The old thermostat worked but I wanted to replace it with a more up to date model. I faithfully followed the installation instructions and have checked the wiring 3 times but the new thermostat will not turn on the fan, heater, or A/C. I tried to reconnect the old thermostat but now it won’t work either. I’ve checked the breakers at the main and they are fine. Is there a fuse somewhere that may have blown? Is there someway to check the thermostat?

The rear heating/cooling unit is having problems. It comes off and on occasionally. I checked the fuses and it is good. When it is quiet and I switch on the unit, I can hear something happen, but it doesn’t activate the fan. It is wierd to the fact that it does periodically work. The last time it went “wierd” I had accelerated while climbing a steep hill. Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. 2002 Chevy Express Van…..
