I have central heating and air. When i woke up this morning my heat was on..but the unit outside was making a horrible noise. It was very loud and it sounded like a table saw. A very high pitch screaching noise. It looked like the fan was having a hard time spinning…but im not sure. It rained here Sunday and Tuesday…and then its gotten down into the 20’s and 30’s here at night…very cold. I dont want to have to call my landlord if I dont have to…hes very noisey. Please help me..what could it be?

  1. Reejo says:

If your unit I’m assuming its a heat pump breaks run the axillary or emergency heat. and contact your landlord to get it fix.

30’s? Its in the negatives here. I would clean up the place really good and call the landlord.
